Born in 1994 in the city Of Nazareth, Dana discovered her passion for
fashion and art from an early age, as she was a student in the programme
in high school, leading her to design the graduation dresses for the graduates.
In 2013 she moved to Florence, Italy, where she got her B.A. in Fashion
Design at Accademia Italiana Institut. Based on her personal study of
the concept Orientalism and its impact on arts in generally and
specifically on fashion, she started a deep research around the motives
of Southwest Asian (an inclusive and decolonized term referring to the
“Middle East”) and North African cultures. After her success in the final
project, her research triggered Dana to proceed in further examination
for concepts like fusion, revival, eclecticism related to fashion design and
their relation to culture, identity within larger contemporary perceptions.
